| After several months of avoiding East Potomac Golf Course because of the extensive damage caused by the Greens Crew, time and attention has restored the greens back again. The greens are slow and still soft, with patches of replacement turf taking hold. For those golfers looking to play a 3 1/2 hour round of golf, head down to East Potomac soon or before the crowds realize things are back to normal. |

| This course has a chemical problem. Greens don't get eaten up by Bentgrass. Someone made a huge mistake and inadvertently destroyed the greens.
Many of the fairways have been in poor condition for a very long time because the contractor refuses to invest it's profits in systemic drainage. The driving range has long been a huge profit center. The bi-annual paint job and replacement of mats is a far cry from what is really needed. There are no accurate yardage markers, heaters should be installed in all of the lower bays, how much would it cost to walk off the yardage, use a laser, or access Skycaddie, to provide the thousands of guests with a bit more than just the thrill of smashing a ball into an artificial (worn and scrubby) range? The cafe is great, the Pro shop is tiny but adequate, staff are very pleasant and helpful, and overly apologetic about the current condition of the course.
However, the contractor/management is trying to push the evidence of inadequacies onto everything but itself.
Maybe it's time for the New DC Mayor to consolidate commercial sports oversight/management in the District and negotiate a deal with Interior to take over the three courses and bring in a professional course management company. Afterall, these courses together have the highest amount of traffic of any in-town golf course in America.
We can only hope |

| Sources close to Course Management, said the Course Manager made some major mistakes in trying to control Green Fungus and weeds. All the Greens on the Blue and White Course are damaged. They are giving a 10% discount to play? |

| The course was in better condition than it had been in a while. The greens were very consistent throughout the round. The fairways, as always, were closer to short rough. But it still a real good value considering the cost of the green fees. |
